About the role
- Lead architecture, development, and maintenance of the entire web stack, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and seamless integration across all Bitcoin.com properties
- Drive end-to-end integration of our multi-party computation (MPC) wallet account system across all platforms, enabling secure, unified user experiences
- Oversee major upgrades to our igaming affiliate program, including seamless account linkage, frictionless onboarding from affiliate referrals, and incentives
- Implement robust, data-driven user analytics to power personalized experiences across site content, promotions, email campaigns, and news feeds
- Embed specialized AI agents throughout the engineering and content workflow
- Lead delivery of new web capabilities, including CMS platforms, payment rails, localization infrastructure, and emerging AI-driven features
- Manage and mentor distributed engineering teams across news, education, marketing, affiliates, and product promotion areas
- Use metrics and analytics to guide decisions, rapidly scale the team through strong hiring, and aggressively incorporate AI tools into workflows to sustain velocity as the platform grows
- Initiate projects from scratch, define roadmaps, coordinate cross-functionally, and drive completion amid competing priorities
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- At least 3+ years in technical leadership roles overseeing full web stacks (frontend, backend, DevOps, databases)
- Proven track record of building with AI—deeply AI-native with extensive daily use of tools such as Claude, Cursor, Gemini, and other leading AI coding platforms
- Hands-on engineer who actively codes, reviews, and contributes while leading teams
- Strong expertise in modern web technologies (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, cloud infrastructure)
- Highly data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform architecture, prioritization, and personalization
- Experience integrating secure wallet/authentication systems (crypto/fintech a plus; MPC knowledge a plus)
- Expertise in personalization engines, user behavior tracking, and recommendation systems
- Strong background in SEO, performance optimization, accessibility, and regional compliance
- Experience building/scaling CMS, payment integrations, and internationalization
- Comfortable scaling teams through hiring and AI augmentation while maintaining velocity
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
