About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning and execution of CAD and PDM data migration projects.
- Analyze legacy systems and define migration strategy, scope, and timelines.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for CAD files and metadata.
- Configure and customize ePDM workflows, templates, and data cards.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless migration.
- Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide training and support to end-users post-migration.
- Document migration processes, configurations, and lessons learned.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data security protocols.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in CAD/PDM systems, with at least 2 years in migration projects.
- Strong expertise in SOLIDWORKS, ePDM, and related CAD tools.
- Experience with data migration tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, SQL).
- Familiarity with engineering change management and BOM structures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
