About the role

  • Ensure that international grant funds are managed in line with Government of Canada donor agreements
  • Monitor grant agreements and support partner capacity building
  • Assist with budget revisions and uphold accountability across projects
  • Support development, monitoring, and revision of grant agreements
  • Review and report on partner financial submissions
  • Help identify compliance issues and support mitigation strategies
  • Assist with audit preparedness, especially for GAC audits
  • Collaborate with Finance on consolidation of financial reporting

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience in grant or financial management for international programs, or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial review skills
  • Experience with institutional donors; Global Affairs Canada experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work with partners across cultures and geographies
  • Advanced spreadsheet and MS Office skills; familiarity with accounting systems
  • Experience with capacity building and Results-Based Management is an asset
