About the role
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Build and evolve Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture in a cloud environment
- Ensure data quality standards, observability and governance
- Integrate multiple sources (APIs, transactional systems, geospatial data, IoT, etc.)
- Work on performance and cost optimization (FinOps)
- Collaborate with data scientists and business teams to enable carbon models
- Implement DataOps best practices and data versioning
- Support the definition of architecture, standards and technical documentation
Requirements
- Education: Higher education completed — all degrees are welcome!
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer
- Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL
- Experience with cloud architecture (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect or similar)
- Experience with distributed processing (Spark, Databricks or similar)
- Knowledge of data modeling (dimensional and domain-oriented)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD
- Experience with structured Data Lake environments (raw, curated, trusted)
- Experience with ESG, carbon or sustainability projects
- Knowledge of geospatial data (GIS)
- Experience with APIs and external integrations
- Experience with Data Governance practices
- Experience with multi-cloud environments
- Advanced English
