About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to identify target accounts that need practice optimization, specifically focusing on dry eye disease and ocular surface preparation for cataract surgery.
- Work directly with practices to assess needs, recommend protocols, and implement strategies that drive efficiencies and improved patient outcomes.
- Engage with every function within the practice, including front desk, billing, coding, practice administrators, medical technicians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists, to ensure seamless adoption of recommended protocols.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the field of ocular surface optimization and dry eye disease management, providing guidance and insights on industry best practices.
- Influence and consult with key stakeholders within practices, from front desk staff to physician partners, ensuring buy-in and understanding of the protocols and changes recommended.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and developments in the field of dry eye disease, ocular surface optimization, and cataract surgery preparation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales training, reimbursement specialists, and MSLs, to ensure alignment and support for practice integration initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training materials, protocols, and presentations that address practice needs and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Educate sales representatives on Sales Training & Development content.
- Track and report on key metrics related to practice optimization and patient outcomes, making adjustments as necessary to improve performance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working in a clinical or practice setting, with a strong understanding of optometric and ophthalmic practices.
- Demonstrated ability to consult, educate, and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, from administrative staff to physicians.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing protocols or changes within a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of dry eye disease management, ocular surface optimization, and cataract surgery preparation protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to client practices as needed.
- Previous experience working with cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, or healthcare-related functions preferred.
- Familiarity with reimbursement processes and billing and coding practices within optometric and ophthalmic settings preferred.
- Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to ocular surface optimization and dry eye disease.
