About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve sales targets by providing technical consultation on sample preparation and analytical workflows.
- Identify customer needs and recommend tailored Biotage solutions through consultative sales.
- Develop and execute account plans for key customers to drive long-term business growth.
- Support method development, conduct product demonstrations, and deliver customer training.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop scientific content, including application notes, webinars, and technical presentations.
- Represent Biotage at conferences, exhibitions, customer seminars, and other marketing events.
- Maintain customer opportunities and sales activities in the CRM system while providing regular sales forecasts and market feedback.
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS/MS, and analytical sample preparation techniques
- Previous experience in technical sales, field applications, or customer-facing scientific roles is advantageous
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and willing to travel for customer visits, trainings, and conferences
- Japanese – Native
- English – Conversational level required; business-level proficiency preferred
