About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements that drive company growth
Build strong, trust-based relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
Act as a cultural bridge between organizations to foster collaboration and mutual value creation
Contribute to Business Development strategy and partnering activities with companies and institutes in Asia and beyond
Conduct due diligence and market analysis
Create, negotiate, and execute term sheets and agreements with global pharma partners, biotech companies, and academics for licensing, R&D collaborations, and acquisitions
Liaise with R&D, legal, IP, finance, and senior management during deal-making and alliance-management processes
Support the creation, evaluation, and identification of partnering and acquisition opportunities
Communicate business development and business alliance progress to internal stakeholders and management
Coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee alliance governance, and ensure business partnerships deliver maximum value

Requirements

What you’ll need

MBA or PhD or comparable degree in life sciences
5–8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or healthcare, focused on business development, alliance management, or project management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong contract and governance management knowledge
Experience building partnerships with global pharma partners, biotech companies, and academics
Experience drafting and negotiating term sheets and contracts
Good understanding of regulatory pathways and reimbursement schemes in key Asian countries
Experience working in a highly cross-functional and international setup
Fluent in English and Chinese, written and spoken
Other Asian language is a plus
Driven, flexible, adaptable to a rapidly changing environment, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
