About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements that drive company growth
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
- Act as a cultural bridge between organizations to foster collaboration and mutual value creation
- Contribute to Business Development strategy and partnering activities with companies and institutes in Asia and beyond
- Conduct due diligence and market analysis
- Create, negotiate, and execute term sheets and agreements with global pharma partners, biotech companies, and academics for licensing, R&D collaborations, and acquisitions
- Liaise with R&D, legal, IP, finance, and senior management during deal-making and alliance-management processes
- Support the creation, evaluation, and identification of partnering and acquisition opportunities
- Communicate business development and business alliance progress to internal stakeholders and management
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee alliance governance, and ensure business partnerships deliver maximum value
Requirements
What you’ll need- MBA or PhD or comparable degree in life sciences
- 5–8 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or healthcare, focused on business development, alliance management, or project management
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong contract and governance management knowledge
- Experience building partnerships with global pharma partners, biotech companies, and academics
- Experience drafting and negotiating term sheets and contracts
- Good understanding of regulatory pathways and reimbursement schemes in key Asian countries
- Experience working in a highly cross-functional and international setup
- Fluent in English and Chinese, written and spoken
- Other Asian language is a plus
- Driven, flexible, adaptable to a rapidly changing environment, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
