Director, CMC External Development Services Lead

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage external development activities from a business perspective and/or oversee technology transfer activities
- Act as lead strategic CMC business partner to internal stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of CDMO and technology transfer managers
- Provide leadership across complex cross-functional matrix structures
- Drive organizational effectiveness, team performance and capability development within the External Development Services team
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools and ways of working
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in life sciences, engineering, business or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in an international (bio-)pharmaceutical environment
- Several years of leadership experience in complex matrix organizations
- Strong understanding of CMC development, external development services, and/or technology transfer activities
- Experience in working with CDMOs and managing external partners in a complex development environment
- Strong business partnering skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A continuous improvement mindset
