About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage diverse dispute resolution actions, including product liability cases, from pre-dispute steps to enforcement of judgments and awards
  • Review pleadings and court documents with precision while handling subpoenas and information requests
  • Conduct legal/business risk assessments during negotiations, including advising on jurisdiction and applicable law
  • Manage external counsel relationships effectively to ensure strategic alignment, quality work products, and budget adherence
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments (in particular, business development and alliances, research, clinical and technical operations and supply) to analyze relevant facts and documents for legal matters
  • Support public disclosures such as SEC filings
  • Develop and improve standard agreements, legal processes and training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales
  • At least 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration, gained in an international law firm or in-house role within a highly regulated industry; experience in life sciences or pharmaceuticals is preferred
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across diverse disciplines in a dynamic and fast-paced corporate Environment
  • Practical, solution-oriented professional with a creative and hands-on approach; outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts for internal stakeholders, including senior management
  • Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual who can work independently while incorporating legal guidance seamlessly into deliverables
  • Positive mindset with a proactive attitude; demonstrates high ethical standards, integrity, and accountability
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, exercise sound business judgment, and think critically while thriving under pressure in fast-paced/high-volume settings
