About the role
- Maintain and grow the Salesforce platform to enable Marketing, Sales, Commercial, and Customer Service teams
- Develop technical Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements (Apex, Lightning, APIs)
- Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise applications
- Design and develop automated tests for Salesforce applications, customisations, and enhancements
- Promote end-to-end test automation across the team and coach colleagues on automation practices
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Salesforce Administrators, Technical Lead and Software Architects to implement solutions
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve bugs, errors and production incidents
- Stay current on Force.com technology changes and Salesforce releases
- Support Salesforce Product Manager and Technical Lead in creating comprehensive test strategies for projects affecting hundreds of end users
- Ensure clear understanding and adoption of new solutions by business users
- Manage Salesforce sandboxes and follow deployment best practices
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Salesforce development with solid understanding of platform capabilities and best practices
- Solid test automation experience with Provar or similar tools, including test builder and direct manipulation of underlying Selenium code
- Understanding of Salesforce flow development supported by extensive tests
- Experience developing Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, REST and SOAP APIs, and Lightning Components
- Understanding of Salesforce security model and testing security implementations
- Salesforce sandbox management and deployment best practices
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in collaborative, agile teams
- Enthusiasm, self-drive, creative problem-solving, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Desirable: AWS Connect/Service Cloud Voice, DocuSign, Salesforce Maps, Marketing Cloud
- Desirable: Platform Developer I Certification
- Desirable: Familiarity with Sales Cloud
- Desirable: JEST testing experience
- Desirable: Experience with platforms beyond Salesforce
