About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and manage automated software testing suites of genomic algorithms (25%).
  • Create or assist in creating, socializing, and presenting test approach, test artifacts, testing process, test metrics with appropriate teams (20%)
  • Participate in and/or lead test case reviews, user stories, risk assessments, requirement reviews, sprint reviews, backlog grooming sessions (15%).
  • Document and execute company software quality plans and reports (15%).
  • Produce efficient test procedures, document results clearly, and provide effective communication throughout the software development life cycle (10%).
  • Adopt new technologies for automation, software testing, genomic statistical analyses (10%).
  • Other duties as assigned (5%).

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to validate genomic analysis results.
  • Skilled with troubleshooting bioinformatics software tools and pipelines.
  • Ability to self-manage time and tasks as well as coordinate tasks within a team
  • Familiar with defect tracking tools (TFS or JIRA)
  • Experienced with requirements management (Aligned Elements)
  • Development Languages: C#, Java, JavaScript
  • Very strong analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools such as Jenkins
  • Mastery of building up software testing infrastructure and regression test suites
  • Performing SQA for products in a regulated market preferred.
