About the role
- End-to-end sales activities: maintenance, servicing and expansion of the existing customer base
- Management of assigned customer portfolios in day-to-day business, including preparation of quotations
- Conducting price negotiations in close coordination with the business unit
- Preparation, analysis and extraction of relevant market information
- New customer acquisition and development of additional sales opportunities
- Participation in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Occasional customer visits and attendance at market-relevant appointments
- Independently following up on quotations
- Performing price calculations
- Support with annual contracts
- Coordination of internal processes, including first-level complaint handling
- Close collaboration with internal interfaces such as Credit Management, Logistics and Customer Service
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or degree – ideally with a chemical or pharmaceutical background
- Several years of professional experience (ideally 3–5 years) in the trade of commodities, e.g., in key account management, product management or internal sales
- Strong affinity for trading and enthusiasm for further developing products along the value chain
- Confident and persuasive communication skills
- Independent, structured and reliable way of working
- Team player with a strong service-oriented mindset
- Business-fluent English skills
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP
- Willingness to travel occasionally
