About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the go-to insights partner for a key asset, aligning work to brand priorities and decision points
- Own the integrated insights narrative across research and secondary analytics
- Translate findings into clear recommendations
- Design and execute primary market research, including segmentation, message testing, and patient/HCP studies
- Analyze and synthesize secondary data such as claims, specialty pharmacy, and market data
- Track performance, diagnose drivers, and surface opportunities
- Frame ambiguous problems and propose appropriate research and analytics approaches
- Manage vendor scope, timelines, and deliverables end-to-end
- Develop executive-ready materials and present insights clearly and confidently
- Partner cross-functionally to translate insights into action
- Contribute to Integrated Customer Planning and budget planning through customer and market insights
- Support KPI and dashboard requirements with analytics partners
- Identify emerging business questions and unmet insight needs proactively
- Challenge assumptions through rigorous research and analysis
- Explore customer, competitive, and market dynamics to identify opportunities, risks, and recommendations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or healthcare consulting environments
- Significant hands-on market research experience within the last five years
- Ability to independently design, execute, and synthesize primary market research studies
- Depth in at least two competency areas: primary research methods and secondary analytics
- Demonstrated experience leading projects end-to-end, including problem definition, vendor management, synthesis, and communication
- Experience navigating ambiguous business questions and identifying opportunities for actionable insights
- Strong synthesis and storytelling skills
- Ability to produce concise, executive-ready PowerPoint deliverables
- Working knowledge of common pharmaceutical data sources and data visualization tools
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or MS preferred
- Experience supporting specialty, rare disease, neuroscience, or biologic portfolios preferred
- Ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative research into a cohesive strategic narrative preferred
- Experience influencing senior commercial leaders through insight-driven recommendations preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization preferred
- Experience in management consulting or life sciences consulting, particularly in market research, commercial strategy, customer insights, or analytics engagements supporting pharmaceutical or biotech clients preferred
