About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead mid-to-high complexity distribution improvement projects to enhance capabilities and process efficiency
  • Develop and test complex distribution packaging solutions from design through implementation
  • Develop GMP product test strategies covering global regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate Supplier Relationship Management meetings and RFPs and manage vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Quality, and other departments to address business needs
  • Conduct and oversee laboratory testing and lane validation activities internally and externally
  • Support audits, health authority inspections, and regulatory agency inquiries related to shipping qualification
  • Manage Trackwise events, CAPAs, and investigations
  • Support Global Change Controls from a subject matter expert perspective and manage activity timelines
  • Provide input on temperature monitoring strategies, technology transfers, and launches
  • Represent the distribution team in cross-functional meetings and provide management updates
  • Support technical transfer and launch shipping qualification activities at internal, external, and 3PL sites
  • Provide training on cold chain best practices, guidelines, and regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of cold chain requirements and monitor emerging industry trends
  • Coach and guide team members, including contractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA degree required; BS/BA in Packaging Science/Engineering preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in packaging, global logistics, or temperature-controlled supply chain
  • Experience in an international and regulated environment
  • Knowledge of ASTM/ISTA packaging standards and regulations
  • Experience with testing standards and distribution laboratory environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Expertise in temperature-controlled/cold chain logistics, transportation, and packaging
  • US domestic and international experience required
  • Strong technical writing skills and strong Microsoft Word knowledge
  • Ability to present clear, succinct updates to cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a GMP environment required
  • Experience in failure mode analysis, including Ishikawa, 5 Why, or other methods
  • Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt certification is an asset
  • Experience with MS Project and PowerPoint preferred
  • Ability to develop rapport at various organizational levels
