About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the architectural strategy for Public Cloud platforms AWS and Microsoft Azure
Develop and maintain architecture standards, best practices, and guidelines
Create and communicate detailed platform and solution architecture documentation
Drive continuous improvement of domain technology tools and platforms
Leverage new technologies to contribute innovative solutions to business challenges
Ensure compliance with regulations, driving effective IT solutions
Provide architectural guidance to development teams to ensure quality and manage technical debt
Build and maintain partnerships with IT stakeholders to maximize business value
Collaborate with Cloud Engineers to develop cost-efficient and secure cloud solutions
Ensure cloud solutions align with Biogen's standard architecture
Guide application solutions to achieve the most cost-efficient architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in IT
5+ years of experience in cloud computing
Strong domain knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms
Proficiency in architectural principles and cloud architecture development
Ability to integrate multiple infrastructure stacks
Fluency in core infrastructure technical domains (IaaS/PaaS, Serverless, Containers, OS, Compute, Storage, Network, Security)
Scripting and/or Programming Skills (Python, PERL, PHP, Bash, Powershell, Ansible)
Understanding of DevOps methodology and CI/CD concepts
Experience with modern tools (CrowdStrike, Atlassian, Github, Jira)
