About the role
- Be a Vendor Ambassador and/or lead oversight of key clinical trial vendor services at the category level to drive performance, including issue management and inspection readiness, collaborating with functional SMEs.
- Lead Biogen cross functional teams in strong, compliant governance activities, building transparent communication channels within vendor relationships.
- Drive development and execution of vendor oversight plans across functional areas.
- Establish key performance indicators for vendor services, managing risks and promoting continuous improvement.
- Align vendor engagements with corporate policies, working with Global Sourcing, R&D IT, and Compliance teams.
- Lead/drive projects and initiatives that relate to vendor qualification, selection, performance oversight, and governance activities.
- Lead or contribute to development of department systems, processes, and templates.
- Line manages personnel directly or in-directly to support a people management matrix, as per business needs.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of clinical trial experience within the pharma/biotech/CRO industry (Bachelor’s degree required)
- 2-3 yrs expertise in relationship management and oversight of outsourced partners at the portfolio level, including inspection and audit experience.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical trial vendor services and vendor contracting strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution and team building skills.
- Proficient in project management and risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Skilled in change management and leading teams through transitions.
- Initiative-taker and can lead autonomously within ambiguity.
