About the role
- Perform installations, qualifications and preventive maintenance on complex electro-mechanical scientific instruments in a laboratory environment
- Maintain effective communication with customers to ensure efficient service
- Prepare samples for instrument testing
- Complete service protocols that meet cGMP documentation requirements
- Manage and schedule customer appointments
- Timely submission of service reports to clients, accurate data entry into CRM software
- Support Sales, Field Applications and Technical Support Teams with pre and post sales inquiries and tasks
Requirements
- Associate degree in an engineering or science field
- 1 year of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry OR completion of military electrical technical training and 1 year of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry OR minimum of 3 years of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry
- Strong computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Laboratory experience is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
