About the role
- Achieve sales targets through application of consultative selling methods.
- Field sales located in the designated territory and visiting customers 4 days per week.
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
- Identify solutions for customers using industry and product knowledge proteins, antibodies, small molecules, cell culture reagents, and cell therapy products.
- Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision.
- Ensure that customers understand the value proposition, features & benefits, competitive advantages, and applications of all relevant products.
- Daily use of CRM (Salesforce) for scheduling, forecasting, and detailed capture of customer information for all opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biological/medical sciences or related with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in life sciences sales required.
- Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of industry experience.
- Thorough understanding of the scientific principles behind the use of Bio-Techne products.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce (CRM), as well as computer entry and/or typing skills are highly desired.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
