About the role
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to plan and execute validation engagements.
- Support next generation Enterprise and Service Provider customers in implementing new platforms and solutions.
- Validate design solutions to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Lead requirements discussions, analyze test needs, configure test labs, author and execute test plans, and document results.
- Identify and resolve key issues by collaborating with engineering and delivery teams.
- Develop and integrate new technologies into lab environments.
- Work closely with Solution Architects and Delivery/Sales teams on initiatives and business opportunities.
- Drive efficiency and accelerate validation efforts through innovation.
- Identify opportunities for new business growth.
Requirements
- Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to manage complex interactions
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network environments (TAC-style preferred)
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience with Catalyst 8ks, ASRs, ISRs
- Strong expertise in Cisco IOS-XE and IOS-XR
- Solid understanding of L2/L3 switching and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with VPNs (IPsec, DMVPN, ISAKMP, IKE) and MPLS
- Knowledge of additional protocols: NAT, QoS, SNMP, TACACS+
- Basic programming/scripting skills (preferably Python)
- Familiarity with YANG models, APIs, configuration management, and operational models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with 3–5 years related experience (Grade 8) or 8–10 years (Grade 10)
