About the role

  • Maintain the general ledger and perform end-to-end month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of manual journal entries
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/resolve variances on a timely basis
  • Prepare internal management reports and monthly financial reporting packages for management review
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with tax advisors on the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns and other tax compliance matters as required
  • Assist in process improvements, system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives, including automation of manual processes where possible
  • Support the clean-up and stabilisation of legacy accounting processes, ensuring proper documentation and controls are in place
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and financial reporting requirements, and maintain proper supporting documentation and controls for accounting processes
  • Support ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives assigned by the Financial Controller

Requirements

  • Chartered accountant experience - CPA / CA / ACCA is a MUST
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the accounting and finance sector
  • Tech / MNC experience dealing with full PnL is a plus
  • Advanced excel skills and experience in NetSuite accounting systems
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
