About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the strategy, performance, and evolution of event marketing across national prenatal conferences, regional and local prenatal events, and strategic experiential activations
- Define the long-term vision, investment strategy, portfolio, pipeline generation, organizational design, and operational excellence of the event marketing function
- Develop annual event marketing strategy and investment plans using data-driven recommendations
- Define audience segmentation, event portfolio strategy, channel mix, and integrated marketing approaches
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Sales, Product Marketing, Marketing, and Medical Affairs on company and go-to-market priorities
- Own event marketing contributions to pipeline generation, revenue, customer acquisition, and commercial performance
- Establish KPIs and performance frameworks for pipeline, conversion, attendance quality, ROI, and business impact
- Analyze event portfolio performance and optimize resource allocation and return on investment
- Present executive-level business reviews and recommendations
- Lead and develop prenatal events support, including employees, contractors, agencies, and external partners
- Build delegation models, ownership structures, standardized operating procedures, and scalable systems
- Establish communication cadences, planning frameworks, governance processes, and operating models
- Identify organizational risks, resolve cross-functional challenges, and communicate mitigation plans
- Improve operational processes, technology, vendor partnerships, and resource planning
- Deliver differentiated event experiences that strengthen the brand, customer relationships, and commercial objectives
- Guide flagship events while empowering the team to own day-to-day planning and execution
- Partner with Brand and Design leaders on consistent customer experiences
- Track industry trends, event technologies, and engagement strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of experience in event marketing or field marketing within healthcare
- Experience owning significant event marketing budgets and portfolio investment decisions
- Strong analytical and business acumen, including KPI, ROI framework, and executive reporting experience
- Experience managing national conferences, regional events, experiential activations, and multi-channel event campaigns
- Strong strategic thinking paired with exceptional operational and executional rigor
- Demonstrated success partnering with Sales leadership to deliver measurable pipeline growth and commercial outcomes
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional decision-making
- Strong executive presence and communication skills
- Ability to build scalable operational systems, improve cross-functional alignment, and lead through ambiguity
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments while driving clarity, accountability, and momentum
- Healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, medtech, or life sciences experience strongly preferred
- Collaborative, low-ego leadership and strong relationship-building and cross-functional influence
