About the role

  • Support the timely and accurate preparation of local quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
  • Monitor and execute monthly closings with a focus on topics such as intercompany reconciliations, inventory valuation, provisions, and accounting for software and fixed assets
  • Contribute to the documentation, implementation, and optimization of new accounting processes and their interfaces
  • Support analyses and take responsibility for a small standalone legal entity
  • Maintain close communication with external partners and colleagues across corporate groups

Requirements

  • Qualified Bilanzbuchhalter (certified accounting professional) or completed commercial vocational training with relevant professional experience
  • Completed education in economics or business administration
  • Solid knowledge of accounting under HGB and relevant experience with SAP in financial accounting and the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of individual and consolidated financial statement processes
  • Ability to explain complex issues clearly and appropriately for the target audience
  • Strong team spirit and communication skills, along with a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative
