About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and establish the company's Strategy & Operations function
- Report to the CEO and work on the company's highest-priority needs
- Run planning cadences and align the leadership team on quarterly objectives
- Own weekly and monthly operating rhythms, including company-wide updates
- Build the medical advisory board from concept through its first meeting
- Identify and recruit interventional psychiatry key opinion leaders
- Rebuild the financial model using operational data and assess unit economics and pricing
- Evaluate and improve the go-to-market motion and sales process
- Develop recommendations, explain the reasoning, and independently execute plans
- Potentially build and manage the Strategy & Operations team as the function grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–10 years of full-time experience
- Experience at a fast-growing, VC-backed early-stage startup
- Ability to build and defend financial models in Sheets using messy source data
- Ability to turn ambiguity into an executable plan quickly
- Comfortable speaking with payer network directors, psychiatrists, and clinic owners
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Ownership mentality, entrepreneurial instincts, and urgency
- Fluency in the modern AI stack, including MCPs and Claude Skills or equivalent tools
- Digital health experience or demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar sector quickly
- Genuine interest in breakthrough mental healthcare treatment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture
- Willingness to work in a hybrid NYC-area environment with 3+ days in person required
- Preferred: digital healthcare startup experience
- Preferred: consulting, banking, or investing background paired with at least one operating role
- Preferred: exposure to payer contracting, reimbursement, or revenue cycle management
- Preferred: experience managing or mentoring junior teammates
