About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial and accounting records completely within QuickBooks Online.
Manage comprehensive AP cycles, process vendor payments, and administer optimized payment workflows through Bill.com.
Generate professional customer invoices, process incoming payments, monitor outstanding receivables, and actively manage full-cycle collections.
Perform rigorous, timely reconciliations of bank accounts, corporate credit cards, and complex balance sheet accounts to ensure audit-ready precision.
Execute and assist with monthly close processes, post journal entries, and compile critical financial reporting packets for leadership.
Actively support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous cash flow tracking; deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and custom reporting requests as needed by leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as an Accountant, Senior Bookkeeper, or Accounting Specialist.
Experience supporting multiple businesses/entities or providing controller-level support is highly preferred.
Experience working with US-based companies preferred.
Advanced, hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com is mandatory.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced MS Excel for financial modeling).
Deep and comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles, general ledger structures, and financial compliance standards.
High level of professionalism, strict confidentiality, extreme attention to detail, and a proven ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems completely independently.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Eligible to legally work as a remote freelancer or contractor based in the Philippines.
Natural-born Filipino citizen or Foreigner with a working VISA or permit to legally work in the Philippines.
Has own computer or laptop capable of handling the rigorous demands of work and a preferred multi-monitor setup for efficient spreadsheet workflows.
Has a fast and reliable internet connection at home (at least 200-300 MBPS).
Has a quiet and distraction free work environment at home.
Willing to work in graveyard shifts or changing shift US schedules.
