About the role
- Support Sales and the BU with technical consulting for layer (egg production) projects (new farms, expansions and retrofits).
- Translate client needs into technical concepts: capacity, stocking density, bird and personnel flows, biosecurity, egg flow, macro layout and civil/installation interfaces.
- Provide agile and accurate support for TOCs and technical clarifications during proposal processes.
- Participate in client meetings, field visits and technical presentations as the technical representative of the BU Egg.
- Perform technical feasibility analyses considering: system type (cage, cage-free/aviary, floor, etc., according to portfolio/region); climate control and ventilation (tunnel, cross-ventilation, negative pressure, etc.); feed and water; egg collection/transfer; lighting; litter/manure management and interfaces with storage/treatment; welfare, productivity and health requirements; and local regulations.
- Identify technical risks, constraints and dependencies; propose mitigation measures.
- Ensure technical consistency from proposal → engineering → execution → commissioning, coordinating internal interfaces.
- Maintain and improve regional application standards, typical solutions, assumptions and checklists for Egg projects.
- Contribute to technical deliverables: scope descriptions, technical notes, inputs for bill of materials (BOM) and handover packages.
- Collect market feedback and turn it into product, application, documentation and training improvements.
- Create and deliver internal trainings (product, application, best practices, recurring errors, lessons learned).
Requirements
- Degree in Animal Science (Zootecnia), Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production/Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience in layer/egg production and/or poultry equipment and projects, ideally in: sales technical support / application engineering; project design and execution (farms, automation, climate control); technical consulting / integration / farm operation; field support / commissioning.
- Experience with proposals and technical documentation is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of egg production systems and operational routines.
- Ability to analyze and communicate trade-offs (performance, welfare, cost, constructability, operation and maintenance).
- Proficiency in Excel and structured calculations; ability to work with equipment lists and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret layouts/drawings (CAD skills are a plus).
- Languages: Portuguese (fluent) / English (professional working proficiency) / Spanish is a plus for LATAM.
