About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assessing and supporting volunteers and children in 1:1 mentoring relationships
- Collaborate with parents/guardians and community partners
- Facilitate in-person match meetings
- Assess match relationships focusing on child safety and relationship growth
- Develop and sustain appropriate relationships with children and volunteers
- Conduct exit interviews and assess reasons for match closure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field
- At least one year of relevant work experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish, Preferred
- Strong understanding of casework practices
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
- Ability to travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties
