About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform on Google Cloud (GKE) through Terraform
  • Build and operate market-data ingestion pipelines, including normalization, validation, and strict format compliance
  • Own deployment, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for live trading systems
  • Own relational and analytical databases supporting trading and research, including schema design, performance, operations, and high-availability architecture
  • Steward integrations with external data providers and broker connectivity
  • Preserve proprietary data quality and long-term usability
  • Reduce operational toil through automation
  • Work directly with the CTO, quant team, and data engineering team
  • Act as the clear owner when issues arise during market hours
  • Report directly to the CTO and co-founder
  • Ensure research and quant teams can rely on consistently reliable infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • End-to-end ownership of a production infrastructure and data platform
  • Typically five to twelve years of relevant experience, though the role does not filter strictly on years
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, GCP, and Terraform
  • Infrastructure as code treated as an engineering discipline
  • Experience building reliable, automated pipelines from messy external sources
  • Familiarity with vendor quirks, corporate actions, adjustments, and timezone handling
  • Strong Python and Java skills
  • JavaScript welcome
  • Relational database skills across schema design, performance, and operations
  • DevOps depth including CI/CD, observability, on-call practice, and fault-tolerant architecture
  • Use of AI coding agents as standard practice, with ability to explain every shipped line and its system impact
  • Genuine interest in markets
  • Prior trading or market data systems experience is a meaningful plus
  • Finance background not required
  • Based in Copenhagen or within a CET-compatible European time zone
