About the role
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines for a large number of external sources
- Own data storage and data modeling decisions that support product and AI use cases
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and freshness across the platform
- Improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of data pipelines
- Enable horizontal scaling into new geographic markets through robust data integrations
- Safely evolve data schemas and infrastructure without disrupting production systems
- Collaborate closely with backend, fullstack, and AI engineers to support downstream features
- Take long-term ownership of core data systems and reduce operational risk
Requirements
- A few years of experience designing and building modern data platforms, pipelines and storage systems
- Strong data and software engineering fundamentals
- Comfort handling complex or heterogeneous data sources
- Thoughtful, risk-aware approach to changes in production systems
- Enjoyment of ownership and long-term responsibility for infrastructure
- Ability to collaborate with product-oriented engineering teams.
