Support day-to-day depot operations through allocation of vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
Ensure Health and Safety standards and environmental and O Licence compliance are maintained.
Support employee engagement and continuous improvement projects, including productivity and quality of service provision.
Handle call handling: liaise with customers, internal call centres and Biffa drivers.
Conduct daily debriefs with drivers, confirm work and deal with anomalies/issues.
Liaise with customer service department and customers to resolve issues, including hazards identified by drivers.
Process and confirm orders; run and clear daily reports.
Perform administrative tasks and depot housekeeping; work as part of a team.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of the local area
Exceptional communication skill with the ability to communicate in writing, on a one to one basis and via the phone with all levels including management, team members and internal/external customers.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.
Experience of working to strict deadlines in a time critical environment.
A willingness to adapt and develop skill-sets and knowledge which is determined by the role/business.
Computer literate – comfortable using business software and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically strong knowledge of Excel).
