About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build software automations to help BibliU teams reduce manual work and improve productivity
- Integrate best-in-class software and AI workflows
- Build custom software applications
- Embed with teams that use the automations to understand their context and requirements
- Use AI to plan, build, test and deploy software
- Talk to users to understand requirements
- Develop intuitive, easy-to-learn user experiences
- Critically assess work and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Work across product and engineering functions
- Follow technical standards for code review, security, deployment, code quality and maintainability

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master's degree
- Proficient building full-stack software applications used in production
- Proficient in using agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
- Experience using AI to plan, build, test and deploy software
- Strong product thinking, including talking to users, framing problems, prioritising, and designing intuitive experiences
- Habit of critically assessing work and seeking continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in the higher education industry (good to have)
- Interest in teaching others how to use more AI (good to have)
- Comfort working across product and engineering rather than in one lane (good to have)
