About the role
- Managing the financial controls and reporting for BibliU Campus, this role reports into the VP Finance.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Identify financial trends and provide strategic insights
- Prepare month-end accounts and VAT returns
- Ensure accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage sales tax reporting
- Compile and submit annual property tax returns
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls
- Review and approve vendor payments, including commission payments
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards
- Coordinate and manage external audit processes
- Develop and implement internal financial policies
- Maintain high standards of financial record-keeping
- Manage and mentor the US based finance team
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Coordinate cross-departmental financial activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Excel, iPlicit, Xero/Quickbooks, Netsuite, Fathom and similar)
- Strong understanding of financial principles and procedures
- Excellent financial analysis and forecasting capabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of US financial regulations
- Minimum 1 years post-qualification experience in financial management
- Proven track record in financial reporting and accounting
- Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
