About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manages an active desk of fast-track property damage liability claims under business owner policies
Analyzes coverage issues under the Business owners coverage form, garagekeepers, hired non-owned auto, auto services and other standard industry forms
Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders
Adjusts total auto losses as part of adjusting liability claims
Expeditiously analyzes and positions claim under applicable coverage
Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate level for claims
Uses good judgment in managing ALAE in claims investigation
Appropriately documents claim files in accordance with established guidelines
Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses, as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree required
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills including proper grammar usage and imparting information in a clear and concise manner
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and internet applications
Highly attentive to details
Ability to work under pressure and execute good judgment in sensitive situations
3+ years prior general liability claims adjusting experience preferred
Experience in bodily injuries claims preferred
CPCU or other industry designation a plus
State adjuster license(s) a plus
