About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Directly handles business owner liability claims.
- Analyzes coverage issues under the Business owners coverage form, garagekeepers, hired non-owned auto, auto services and other standard industry forms.
- Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders.
- Adjusts total auto losses as part of adjusting liability claims.
- Expeditiously analyzes and positions claim under applicable coverage.
- Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate level for claims.
- Uses good judgment in managing ALAE in claims investigation.
- Appropriately documents claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
- Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses, as required.
Requirements

- Strong verbal and written communication skills including proper grammar usage and imparting information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
- Promptly responds to inquiries with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a collaborative and cooperative approach
- Ability to multi-task and effectively deal with interruptions
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and internet applications
- Highly attentive to details
- Able to work under pressure and execute good judgment in sensitive situations
- BA/BS degree required
- CPCU or other industry designation a plus
- State adjuster license(s) a plus
- 3+ years prior general liability claims adjusting experience preferred
- Experience in bodily injuries claims preferred
