About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and internal project teams
- Manage complete project execution, ensuring alignment with customer specifications
- Drive the development of mechanical design and display solutions
- Lead and coordinate the development of mechanical systems
- Oversee system integration and design maturity of mechanical components
- Take ownership of project timelines, budgets, and costs
- Ensure fulfillment of all mechanical system requirements and specifications
- Perform and validate design feasibility and functionality
- Initiate and oversee prototype builds and validation testing
- Create, maintain, and release 3D models and engineering drawings
- Select cost-effective materials based on functional requirements
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers on DFM and DFA processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10-14 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering
- Proven experience in handling at least 2 full product development projects
- Strong experience in customer and supplier communication
- Proficient in CAD tools (CATIA – 3D & 2D)
- Basic working knowledge of CAE/FEA tools (ANSYS or equivalent)
- Strong competency in plastic part design
- Experience in automotive technologies
- Hands-on experience in the design and development of automotive rotary knobs and push buttons
- Familiarity with automotive standards (AIS, ECE, JIS)
- Knowledge of lifecycle and validation testing
- Basic knowledge of electronics hardware and PCB technologies
- Strong understanding of the Product Development Process (PDP)
- BE/BTech/ME/MTech (Mech./Mechatronics/Automobile)
