About the role
- Manage the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring standardization and governance of project management;
- Define, review and maintain methodologies, processes, templates and workflows for project, program and portfolio management;
- Apply and ensure adoption of PMO methodologies, standards, policies and tools;
- Continuously work on improving PMO processes by assessing maturity and proposing enhancements;
- Manage the project portfolio, supporting prioritization, resource allocation and alignment with the area’s strategic objectives;
- Monitor team workloads to identify staffing bottlenecks and assist in prioritizing which project or demand should start first;
- Support and guide other project managers whenever needed;
- Develop and train teams in project management best practices, promoting a project-driven culture across the organization;
- Manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, quality and risk management objectives are met;
- Plan, track and update project schedules, action plans, deliverables and milestones;
- Monitor project and portfolio performance indicators (KPIs), preparing executive reports and dashboards;
- Lead follow-up meetings, status reports and project presentations for clients;
- Identify deviations, risks and dependencies, and define and execute corrective and preventive action plans;
- Manage demands efficiently and demonstrate the ability to delegate and follow up on tasks;
- Analyze lessons learned from completed projects to optimize work processes for future cycles;
- Facilitate conflict resolution between areas, supporting alignment and continuity of deliveries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related fields;
- Proven experience managing medium to large projects, preferably in technology and innovation environments (minimum 5 years);
- Experience with portfolio management and multiple concurrent projects;
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, both traditional and agile (Scrum and Kanban);
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to make strategic decisions and resolve conflicts;
- Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and/or with tight deadlines;
- Technology background (knowledge of infrastructure, development, applications and/or governance);
- Understanding of contractual terms and interpretation.
- Preferred qualifications:
- Project management certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master or similar);
- Knowledge of governance models and best practices in service management (ITSM, ITIL, COBIT, etc.);
- Advanced English.
