About the role
- Support the development, monitoring, and controlling of systems to ensure the quality of potash produced meets customer specifications.
- Lead efforts to diagnose and solve process upsets, recovery losses, quality deviations, and other disruptions.
- Support the development, implementation and compliance of process safety protocols.
- Monitor and manage reagent and utility consumption.
- Collaborate with the laboratory on performance analysis, sampling requirements, sample quality, and instrument validation and calibration.
- Initiate, implement, or support process improvement, minor sustaining projects, and ramp-up debottlenecking project.
- Understand customer needs and set measurable metrics to drive performance and meet expectations.
- Ensure consistent execution of a safe, reliable, and efficient process.
Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Process or related Engineering Discipline.
- Eligible for registration with APEGS as P. Eng.
- 5+ years of experience in potash mineral processing.
- Valid Saskatchewan or equivalent Driver’s License.
- Experience with commissioning/ramp-up is recommended.
- Capital project management experience is recommended.
