About the role

  • Support the development, monitoring, and controlling of systems to ensure the quality of potash produced meets customer specifications.
  • Lead efforts to diagnose and solve process upsets, recovery losses, quality deviations, and other disruptions.
  • Support the development, implementation and compliance of process safety protocols.
  • Monitor and manage reagent and utility consumption.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory on performance analysis, sampling requirements, sample quality, and instrument validation and calibration.
  • Initiate, implement, or support process improvement, minor sustaining projects, and ramp-up debottlenecking project.
  • Understand customer needs and set measurable metrics to drive performance and meet expectations.
  • Ensure consistent execution of a safe, reliable, and efficient process.

Requirements

  • Degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Process or related Engineering Discipline.
  • Eligible for registration with APEGS as P. Eng.
  • 5+ years of experience in potash mineral processing.
  • Valid Saskatchewan or equivalent Driver’s License.
  • Experience with commissioning/ramp-up is recommended.
  • Capital project management experience is recommended.
