About the role
- Credit Policy & Strategy Development: Support the design, testing, and refinement of credit strategies, underwriting rules, and decisioning models across consumer and/or commercial lending portfolios.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct deep-dive analyses on credit performance, borrower behavior, and portfolio trends using SQL and Python.
- Risk Monitoring: Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor credit risk metrics, delinquency, loss rates, and profitability.
- Experimentation & Testing: Partner with product and operations teams to execute A/B tests and measure the impact of new credit policies, marketing strategies, or borrower segments.
- Model Support: Collaborate with data science teams to integrate new risk models and ensure alignment with credit policy and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management, risk committees, and cross-functional teams.
- Process Automation: Build automated workflows and analytical tools to improve efficiency in reporting and decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in analytical projects and reporting, preferably in the Financial Services industry
- Understanding of retail and small business loan products, preferably unsecured loans and credit cards
- Understanding of profitability drivers for loan and credit card products, including interest rate structure, cost of funds, operating expenses, fees, and loss
- Familiarity with credit strategies, risk, and pricing is preferred. Deep understanding of risk and profitability management for the entire customer life-cycle
- Proficient with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong stakeholder management experiences
- Ability to develop roadmaps and prioritize workload
- Experiences with designing and implementing A/B tests
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or related quantitative fields
