About the role

  • Conduct hydrogeological investigations and site characterizations
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to meet project objectives
  • Translate field data interpretations and hydrogeological conceptual models into the development of hydrogeological modeling studies
  • Using the Python programming language, write scripts and automate modeling workflows to improve efficiency and reproducibility of processes
  • Collaborate with hydrogeologists, engineers, and geochemists in multidisciplinary teams
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate results to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Lead small- to medium-scale projects, including proposal development, budget and schedule tracking, internal staff assignment, and management of subcontractors
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in Geosciences, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for registration within one (1) year of hire
  • 5–10 years of relevant professional experience, with a specialization in 3D numerical modeling
  • Proficiency in Python for modeling and data management
  • Experience with geotechnical or groundwater modeling software (e.g., FEFLOW, SEEP/W, MODFLOW, Leapfrog, HydroGeoSphere)
  • Excellent written and oral proficiency in French and English
  • Proficiency in an additional language is required to communicate with partners and colleagues located outside Quebec
  • Collaborative, autonomous, and motivated individual seeking to contribute to a team-focused work environment
  • Willingness to travel and work in the field, including in remote areas
