About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end planning & execution of sampling plan including Brand Ambassador recruiting and training, event programming, budget, inventory management, logistics, and reporting
- Identify, negotiate, plan, and lead local event strategies to boost brand awareness and engage directly with consumers
- Manage total budget across product logistics, cold-chain, staffing, event sponsorships, branded assets, and mobile sampling vehicle(s)
- Hire, train, and manage team of Brand Ambassadors responsible for event activations and experiential campaigns operating 3-5 days per week during key summer months
- Own all event sponsorships, permits, negotiations, logistics, and activations
- Report weekly on key metrics such as QR/coupon scan rate, UGC volume, cost per sample correlating with retail sell-through data
- Build deep knowledge of the local market and community partners to develop successful and profitable programming
- Cultivate strong relationships with store teams to ensure well-merchandised products
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years in field/experiential marketing or brand activation in CPG beverages or food
- Proven experience managing sampling at scale (50K+ samples) and leading field teams of 5+
- Outgoing, energetic, and personable with a passion for connecting with consumers
- Deep knowledge of the events landscape, permitting, and venue/gym/run club networks, especially NYC & LA
- Strong planning, project management, budget management, vendor negotiation, and logistics planning skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint, to analyze field marketing results and share reporting with the team
- Valid driver’s license; comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment where things move quickly and change often
- Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with store managers, customers, and brokers
- Excellent managing time, priorities, and expenses
- Experience working with beverage distributors (Big Geyser, UNFI, KeHE, or similar) an asset.
