About the role
- Research and analyze potential legal risks in the jurisdictions where the company operates (with a focus on North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe)
- Implement legal compliance across various business areas (marketing, payments, launching new products and providing legal support for existing products, etc.)
- Draft and review contracts and other legal documents
- Improve legal processes and increase the operational efficiency of the legal operations team to enhance service quality and risk management
- Raise business awareness of legal requirements
- Communicate with business partners, law firms, and service providers across different jurisdictions
Requirements
- Fluent English (including legal drafting)
- 2+ years of relevant experience at an international or leading law firm or in an IT product company
- Initiative and willingness to work on a wide range of legal issues and apply creative solutions to complex legal problems
- Results-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
- Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear business decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Expertise in consumer protection law in the US and the EU (e.g., FTC Act, ROSCA, Omnibus Directive)
- Expertise in commercial, corporate, and/or financial law
- Experience advising companies at all stages of the business operations lifecycle
