About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide basic care activities and attend to patients’ personal needs, comfort, and safety
  • Assist with patient care delivery under the direction of the Registered Nurse
  • Perform trained technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks, and procedures
  • Participate in the patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver
  • Measure vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation
  • Report unusual observations to the nurse
  • Collect specimens for analysis
  • Record and measure intake and output
  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities
  • Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision
  • Support nutritional needs by assisting with and ordering room service, setting up meal trays, and feeding patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to perform basic four-function math
  • Desire to help people and/or aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
  • CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire
  • Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment
