About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the OR Scheduling staff
- Manages and coordinates on-line scheduling of operative procedures
- Assures appropriate allocation of personnel
- Develops quality measures for performance
- Assures data accuracy for efficient scheduling
- Communicates with OR sites regarding missing or inaccurate operative records
- Collaborates with hospital personnel to design, implement, and evaluate scheduling technology
- Works with programmer to help develop and test new systems and reports
- Assumes accountability for the development and distribution of surgical schedules for three OR sites
- Coordinates with nursing resource and anesthesia floor manager regarding scheduling problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years related work experience required
- 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Must have sound knowledge of an OR scheduling system
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications
