About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the OR Scheduling staff
Manages and coordinates on-line scheduling of operative procedures
Assures appropriate allocation of personnel
Develops quality measures for performance
Assures data accuracy for efficient scheduling
Communicates with OR sites regarding missing or inaccurate operative records
Collaborates with hospital personnel to design, implement, and evaluate scheduling technology
Works with programmer to help develop and test new systems and reports
Assumes accountability for the development and distribution of surgical schedules for three OR sites
Coordinates with nursing resource and anesthesia floor manager regarding scheduling problems

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years related work experience required
0-1 years supervisory/management experience required
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Must have sound knowledge of an OR scheduling system
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications
