About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reports to Practice Manager or Ambulatory Practice Coordinator
- Responsible for delivering highest quality service to patients
- Serves as role model/mentor, providing support, training, and sharing knowledge
- Collaborates with team; solicits thoughts and ideas
- Acts as team leader for small projects
- Greets patients and visitors with courtesy and respect
- Provides accurate information, directions, and guidance
- Performs check in, registration, scheduling, verification of demographic information and fiscal data
- Collects co-payments and processes them
- Schedules, reschedules, and cancels appointments
- Obtains and enters referrals
- Maintains clean environment of reception area
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED required
- Certificate 1 Medical Admin Assistant Cert preferred
- 3-5 years related work experience required
- Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
