About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and manage a team of PSC Phlebotomists and PSC Float Phlebotomists
  • Perform specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service
  • Ensure adequate staffing and efficient workflow for outpatient collection stations
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain relationships with clients
  • Training and ensuring competency for new employees and other staff
  • Handle payroll input and employee performance evaluations
  • Prepare budgets and maintain compliance with accrediting agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or another accredited agency
  • Three years of work experience as a phlebotomist
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience using laboratory and/or hospital information systems
  • Two or more years of experience working in a lab PSC or in-office phlebotomy site preferred
  • One or more years of as a Phlebotomy Supervisor or Lead Phlebotomist preferred
