About the role
- Provides administrative direction and leadership for: Transitions of Care/Case Management, Utilization Review / Denials management, Social Work Services, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) and Interpreter Services
- Responsible for planning, developing, directing, organizing and coordination of all departmental initiatives, improvements and care across the continuum
- Works collaboratively with Chief Medical Officer, Senior Leadership, Nursing Leaders and Departments, Performance Improvement, Physician leaders, Hospital Medicine physicians, Access Services, Health Information Management, Revenue Integrity, Patient Financial Services, Compliance, and the Performance Improvement team
- Supports performance improvement initiatives, value based performance goals
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing or related health care field required
- Current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts required
- Certification in Case Management preferred
- Five years or more progressively responsible leadership experience within an acute care hospital environment including Care Coordination and Utilization Management
- Excellent interpersonal skills; self-motivated and self-directed; a change agent; ability to effectively influence and persuade others; Personal computer use with knowledge and use of Excel
