Key responsibilities & impact

Provides high quality, direct patient care in a team-based model to BIDHC patients.
Assists patients during their visit to ensure smooth and efficient flow.
Communicates clearly with patients and team members.
Performs medical assisting duties under supervision, including vital sign checks and EKGs.
Essential to Population Health efforts by leading conversations to meet quality and population health goals.
Monitors, orders, and maintains medical equipment and supplies.
Works within the electronic health record system to queue prescription renewals and ensures accurate billing.
Schedules related diagnostic and lab tests and verifies patient insurance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 6 months clinical classroom experience.
0-1 years related work experience or customer service-related experience preferred.
Graduate from BILH Primary Care Clinical Assistant Training program preferred.
EMT Basic License preferred.
Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
Other healthcare training preferred.
