About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a role model, providing support, training and sharing knowledge with other Medical Assistants, MA student externs and Practice Assistants in the practice.
Make recommendations on resources usage.
Identify and resolve OSHA compliance issues, maintain point of care testing and track test results.
Participate in practice improvement initiatives.
Greet patients and serve as a communication resource.
Take complete and accurate information from patients in person and by phone.
Obtain vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature, perform EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy, and assist providers.
Ensure patient records and relevant documents have appropriate patient identification.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED required
Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required
1-3 years related work experience required
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access
