Key responsibilities & impact

Performs respiratory care related duties to all age groups.
Responsible for direct patient care within their scope of services.
Works under physician orders and follows departmental and hospital policies.
Utilizes a high level of critical thinking skills.
Provides direct patient care under physician orders.
Works collaboratively with providers.
Reviews current orders and ensures patients receive treatments as ordered.
Administers medications via various delivery modes.
Assesses patients throughout the treatment cycle.
Completes and updates plans of care.
Enters patient settings on flow sheets and documents alarm parameters.
Responds to emergency calls and performs CPR as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from an Accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
Massachusetts License Certified Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist Preferred.
Current BLS certification.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of PC’s.
Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills.
Ability to impart specialized clinical and medical information to members of the health care team; physician, nurses.
