Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care
Perform a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
Prepare, distribute, and store pharmaceuticals for patients
Work with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications
Prepare intravenous admixtures and chemotherapy products
Develop and promote collaborative relationships with nurses and physicians
Teach and train other technicians and assist in administrative duties.

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 2 years of hospital or related pharmacy experience preferred
Current licensure with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Maintains a valid national pharmacy certification
High School graduate, at least 18 years of age
Knowledge of hospital practice and operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, and other colleagues
Expertise in clinical knowledge and patient care.
