About the role
- Coordinates, facilitates and supervises the planning, design and construction of capital facilities projects.
- Works with Facilities management team and/or directly with medical center senior management to develop conceptual design.
- Participates with Department Management, senior administrators and User Representatives in project program planning.
- Reviews all project-related documents from design to construction documents/shop drawings.
- Manages design consultants, construction contractors and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 8-10 years related work experience required.
- 15-20 years of construction management experience is acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in construction project management with a working knowledge of all phases of capital project implementation including planning, design, construction, start-up and closeout.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Project required.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications.
